The front headlock is a position that many may find themselves in while grappling. Fighting for the takedown, this technique of securing the opponent’s head is a very common occurrence in both Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling.
In the video below, Cary Kolat gives us an option to escape before we get in too deep. Stalling out from indecision when put into a front headlock is one of the most dangerous things to do while grappling. Having at least a basic sense of what to do can save you from a choke or a takedown.
