Smaller opponents can become big nuisances, especially if they have legitimate skills.
You would think that the very fact that you’re bigger than your opponent means you should be able to go full-Conan on them every time…
Mongol General: “Conan! What is best in life?”
Conan: “To crush your enemies, see them driffen before you, and to hear the lamentation of their vimmen.“
But doing that is not always as easy as it sounds. Believe it or not, quite a few big guys have recently been asking me for tips on how to crush their enemies.
More specifically, these aspiring Conans want advice on how to crush the pesky small guys who use technique, agility and general squirminess to make their lives miserable.
Yep, you read that correctly: lots of big guys have trouble with small guys. Maybe those little guys got hold of some good instructional material or something…
So here’s a 4:45 video with my top three tips for big guys who want to crush those smaller grapplers! Check it out:
Go forth and crush your enemies!
P.S. Here’s the link to the ‘How to Defeat a Smaller Opponent’ video on Youtube itself.
P.P.S. And in case you’re an outraged smaller grappler (or just want to become super-technical by learning the tricks from two of the top lightweight grapplers) check out How to Defeat a Bigger Stronger Opponent Series 1 with Emily Kwok, and/or How to Defeat a Bigger Stronger Opponent Series 2 with Brandon Mullins. Both are very good products, and there is very, very little overlap between the two sets.
