Be honest with us: do you sometimes tap from pressure? There’s no shame to it, especially if you’re (relatively) new to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or if your training partners are a lot heavier than you are.
However, you need to learn how to resist this pressure-tapping urge. Namely, there are two things you could do to make things easier for yourself.
DO THESE 2 THINGS TO NEVER TAP FROM PRESSURE AGAIN
First of all, you’ve got to learn how to make yourself comfortable in uncomfortable positions, such as the Mount and Side Control. And even though getting to this point will take time and experience, making yourself comfortable will get a whole lot easier by making sure that your arms are between you and your training partner.
In other words, you need to form frames with your arms. This will keep a lot of weight off of your chest.
And secondly, stop going so hard all the time. You need to learn how to spread your energy and effort throughout the roll.
If you gas out way too quickly (and way too much), it’s going to be that much easier for your heavier training partners to tap you out with bare pressure.
