4 Tips to Pass ANY Guard

Passing the guard of a skilled opponent is one of the hardest things to do in BJJ.

If you don’t believe me, take a look at high level BJJ and submission grappling competition like the Mundials or ADCC. Where does most of the action take place?  What position  do these incredibly skilled athletes spend most of their time in?

In the guard and fighting to pass the guard.

Now keep in mind that these are determined, athletic, and very knowledgeable competitors desperate to pass the guard, get their points, and have a chance to submit their opponents.  Yet passing the guard often takes them almost the whole match.

So given that even these guys have problems with guard passing it’s not too surprising to find out that I get a LOT of questions from frustrated readers asking how to pass the difficult guards of their classmates and competitors.

That’s why I put together a 10 minute video on the four best tips for passing the guard.

The good news is that it doesn’t matter if you’re talking about the closed guard, open guard, half guard, butterfly guard, or the inverted yellow monkey guard…

The same principles apply for passing ALL these guards (and every other guard you’ve ever seen or heard of).

Check it out on Youtube at www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPjKqHQzM-U or view it below. Hope this helps!
