What To Do If You Don’t Feel Motivated To Train BJJ Today?

The days of low or non-existent motivation happen to everyone. Even to the most dedicated of athletes, yes. But, what separates those who become better from those who stay behind is how they handle this feeling of not being motivated to train.
Here are the two extremely important things you can do when you don’t feel motivated for Jiu-Jitsu – but also for any other endeavor in your life.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU DON’T FEEL MOTIVATED FOR BJJ?

The first thing you have to do is to make a commitment to training Jiu-Jitsu. No matter how you feel, getting to the mats should be on top of your priorities. For, if everyone did things only when they wanted to, nobody would truly excel at whatever the “thing” is!
Sure, you don’t need to excel in BJJ… But wouldn’t it be amazing to become better than the rest of your teammates? If you want that, you’re going to need consistency and discipline, both of which are much more important than motivation will ever be.

And secondly, if you want to be better motivated for training, don’t focus on how you feel right now; but focus on how you’ll feel after the training session is done.
Sure, you may feel tired, sad, stressed out at the moment. But you’ll certainly feel much, much better after the training session is done!

Nick “Chewy” Albin shares more information on these two tips on the video below:
