Weight cutting sucks!
There. I said it. You can’t enjoy any of your favorite foods, you’re miserable because your starving, and you barely have the energy to get to class…and yes, you still have to get to class.
But while weight cutting is absolutely necessary in mixed martial arts (as Mackenzie Dern learned the hard way in her last fight), it’s not quite as important in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
