In this short video, BJJ black belt and Grapplearts Founder Stephan Kesting gives us all a valuable tip on dealing with chronic injuries in BJJ.
According to Professor Kesting, many us don’t want to touch areas we’ve previously injured. This is the wrong approach, though. Instead, what we should do is wait until the pain in the injured area dulls down, then gently and persistently strengthen it.
Though an experienced black belt, Stephan Kesting is not a doctor. He even reminds us of that in the video. Therefore, anyone who is suffering from a chronic injury should always seek the advice of a medical expert before returning to BJJ or any other activity.
You can watch Professor Kesting’s video below. It will take less than two minutes of your time.
