As we all know, a portion of Jiu-Jitsu training involves stand-up techniques which we use to dominate before getting to the ground. GMA member Xande Ribeiro is a six-time world champion who also trains in the martial art of Judo and is one of the best Judo players in BJJ.
Today you can learn some valuable skills for the stand-up aspect in the form of a grip break. Xande explains that a one-handed grip break is useful when you’re working to grab your opponent in the process of your opponent gaining a grip on you.
