Obviously Jiu-Jitsu stylists practice more ground moves than standing ones. So it’s only normal that you’re more skilled at sweeping than you are with takedowns. It’s important, however, that you know how to take an opponent down and be a well-rounded fighter.

To stimulate you in training, in the following video Rubens Charles “Cobrinha” demonstrates a trick to getting you to progress in the art of getting the takedown. The secret is to position your foot properly, latch on to the shoulder and kneel, pretty much guaranteeing you the takedown.

To boot, get in on a cool warmup with which to start a training session. Watch, study and comment.
