This is a very effective way to end a match quickly. Thanks to Matt Kirtley for submitting this technique. For more information, or to contact Matt, please visit Gracie Barra Clearwater – Stephan Kesting.
I was worried that it might be considered redundant to demonstrate three passes that are so similar.
But that quickly passed when I realized I’m awesome and there’s no such thing as too much of the reverse omoplata.
This time he’s got his feet on your hips and you’ve got a knee up.
Get double unders on his leg, but just grab his thighs
Lift his legs as you drive your knee under his back to keep his hips up.
With your chest on his butt to keep his shoulders pinned, grab his wrist and pull it away from his body.
Then step over the arm.
Sit on the arm to trap it.
If they are resisting rolling back, you can posture up and drive your hips into them to make them flip back.
Get the one-on-one, chest on back, et cetera. Arm is ready for the roll. See thedetails of the finishing roll here.
