The Jiu Jitsu Times podcast is excited and proud to introduce the show’s new host John Evans. In addition to being the head coach and owner of the Breakdown Academy in North Hollywood, California, John is a very detailed and technical BJJ analyst on his BJJ Breakdown Youtube channel and has served as a commentator and analyst for Metamoris, Budo Videos, Abu Dhabi grappling events, and The Newaza Challenge. He is a Brown Belt under the legendary Ruben “Cobrinha” Charles and has previously trained under Jean Jacques Machado and Shawn Williams. He is also the BJJ coach for comedian Joey “Coco” Diaz and has appeared as a guest on Diaz’s podcast The Church of What’s Happening. His perspective as a gym owner, head coach, commentator, analyst, experience learning under several of the top names in the art and network of coaches and competitors will help take the podcast to the next level.
