A versatile position like the turtle can’t be covered in just one week. And so Shawn Williams and Leo Tunico this week bring some new secrets to light at Renzo Gracie Online Academy.
Shawn shows two situations that involve the makikomi roll, a move that consists of trapping one of your opponent’s arms and spinning your body on top of it, forcing them to roll along and end up on the bottom, being side-controlled.
Tunico also teaches an interesting trap. Notice that the moment he manages to hip-escape laterally, he jumps over his opponent’s torso and ends up in side control.
In your lifestyle lesson, red-and-white-belt Marcio Stambowsky points out benefits of a lighter way of life whose demands are more sensible.
