Being a successful BJJ business owner is all about training, coaching, seminars, and enjoying the BJJ lifestyle… Right?
Well, not quite. As in all things business-related, being successful in Jiu-Jitsu entails a lot of responsibilities. A lot of work.
Vinicius “Draculino” Magalhães shared an insider scoop a few days ago:
I wouldn’t change my professional life for ANY other but for the ones who think I just teach class, train, travel for seminars ONLY… Ow, boy… You are so wrong.
I own 3 schools in two different countries that I do WAY MORE than just teaching… Supervise 34 GB schools in Texas, mentor over 1000 Black Belts who always come for advice on work, teach seminars world wide, have a Jiu-Jitsu camp business in Mexico and now got into real estate.
In other words, every day is full of work:
There is NOT A DAY that I’m not doing things work related.
I take vacations: yes, but with my phone and computer close to me to do things.Today is Sunday… Me and my wife are spending the morning checking finances, memberships, taxes, accounting, systems and bank reconciliations of 3 schools and answering emails for the GB association in Texas.
My point is: if you are not willing to work HARD, review your concepts.
