Minneapolis Southwest High School wrestler Wyatt Speck took home gold earlier this week after winning a city tournament. Being born with Down Syndrome however, grappling is far from the most challenging thing the sophomore has had to endure in life.
From the infirm to the physically disabled, grappling has taken in folks from all walks of life and helped them find dignity to take into the daily grind. Speck sits as proof that all of us, young and old, could afford to go after life with a bit more zeal.
And if this guy starts training BJJ, we’re all doomed gang.
