The World Series of Grappling #2 rolled in Burbank, California, on October 7th, with $20,000.00 checks landing in the hands of some of BJJ’s top fighters. World Series of Grappling mixes brackets, with brown and black belts going head to head. There are only 2 weight classes: under 180lbs, and over 180lbs.
In what was largely considered the most anticipated matchup of the day, tournament champion Mahamed Aly knocked Keenan Cornelius out of the running for the 20K. The only submission victory of the finals went to Gabriel Arges over Jonnatas Gracie, with all other wins going to referee’s decision.
