Flying armbars and triangles look awesome, and it’s no surprise that they’re featured on so many BJJ highlight reels on the internet. These submissions, however, are also relatively low-percentage… and potentially dangerous. A grappler in Russia was left partially paralyzed after his flying submission attempt earlier this week, and his experience has grapplers reexamining whether or not these attempts are even worth it.
