It is a natural tendency for most of us to want to measure our progress in the various tasks or projects we undertake. If it is a a sport or a learned skill, we want some way of knowing if we are getting good at it.
Individuals who begin taking Jiu-Jitsu often become frustrated with their progress in class. They will often come to their instructor wanting to know “when will I get good in Jiu-Jitsu?”
Instead of that question, ask yourself if you are working hard, listening to your instructor, and trying your best. If you are, then I guarantee that you are on your way to getting good! Tom Deblass On Facebook
I often hear the question from new students, “when will I get good in Jiu-Jitsu”? This is the general response I give them.”Who are you comparing yourself to in order to decide if you are good or bad? Because the only person you should be comparing yourself to is the person you were yesterday”
