Specifically, the UFC has named its nominees for the Submission Of The Year award. Some of the nominees for the award are: Glover Teixeira and his Rear Naked Choke against Jan Blachowicz at UFC 267, Khamzat Chimaev’s Rear Naked Choke win versus Li Jingliang also at UFC 267, Brandon Moreno’s Rear Naked Choke against Deiveson Figueiredo for the flyweight title (UFC 263), and many more.

Bellator MMA hasn’t organized a “best submission award” itself, but the organization did post a video of the best submission finishes in 2021; and boy, were there plenty of them!
