Logan Paul, a YouTube personality who is now better known for his time in the WWE and participation in boxing matches, has credible experience in grappling from before his rise to fame. He ranked fifth in the Ohio High School Athletic Association state championships in 2013 before joining Ohio University’s collegiate Division I wrestling team.
Although he withdrew from the program after one year, he still possesses some of his wrestling skills, as evidenced in grappling exchanges with UFC champions Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski.
In the footage below, Paul appears to hold his own against these talented mixed martial artists.
In the past, Logan Paul grappled with Brazilian powerhouse Paulo Costa, who is a BJJ black belt.
Paul said:
“I don’t think he liked the way I looked at him at dinner or something, but it’s a good thing I’m a professional boxer now who’s 0-1,”
Paul was wearing head gear and was on the receiving end of a massive overhand right which face-planted him to the canvas.
In the grappling segment, Paul did a bit better.
Logan Paul has a solid Wrestling background. He grew up in Ohio where the sport of Wrestling is king. He wrestled intensively in high school.
Logan Paul qualified for the state-level Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) 2013 Division I Wrestling Individual Championships.

Costa said about Paul:
“He’s very good, he surprised me,” Costa said of Paul. “He has good skills in boxing and very skilled in wrestling — he’s very good. I think he trained a lot of wrestling in college, and he’s very good — he surprised me a lot. Maybe he will make some MMA fights in the future.”
I think MMA will be better for him [than boxing] because he has good wrestling fundamentals. His college, he comes from wrestling, so I think wrestling is his primary martial art.”
