[WATCH] Lighting-Fast Imanari Roll Ends MMA Match, Leaves Fighter Limping

The Leg Lock game has experienced quite an expansion in recent years.
And not just in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but in mixed martial arts (MMA) as well!

That goes both for finishes and the entries…
For example, the Imanari Roll at a recent Combat FC 4 event in Wilmington (Massachusetts) – in a 165lbs matchup between Gerald Meuse and Paul Teague!

The match started out with both athletes gauging distance. However, about 15 seconds into the bout, Meuse went for an Imanari Roll and secured a Heel Hook.
Teague tried to defend, but it was to no use – the submission was too tight. He ended tapping out and limping after the referee stopped the match.

The Imanari Roll is a technique that was named after the Japanese BJJ black belt and MMA fighter Masakazu Imanari, because of his usage of it.
