After going through a two-year suspension by the USADA, Paulo Miyao is back on the IBJJF’s competitive circuit — and he hasn’t skipped a beat.
At the Miami Open, held last weekend, Miyao entered the featherweight division and, after advancing through his bracket, met Adam Benayoun (Fifty/50 JJ) for an evenly matched final.
Miyao employed a variety of techniques, played on top and bottom, and by the end had collected enough points to win. You can watch his triumphant comeback in the following video.
