Mariya Agapova put on quite a show in her win against Sabina Mazo at UFC Vegas 39. The finish came at 53 seconds into the third round, via a Rear Naked Choke which was preceded by a vicious right hook.
Immediately from the get-go, Agapova managed to be extremely precise with her strikes. Mazo was charging forward but didn’t present her any true danger on the feet, staying a step behind her opponent throughout the match. Agapova took full advantage of Mazo’s charging forward, making her eat a lot of strikes from the outside and kicks.
She had an obvious win to her name through the first two rounds. But then, in the third round, she threw a strong right hook which almost earned her a knockout. Mazo went down to the ground and Agapova immediately went in for the Rear Naked Choke – making Mazo tap out almost immediately.
