Transitioning From Wrestling To Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Transitioning from wrestling to jiu-jitsu has its ups and downs. On the one hand, you’re proficient in a grappling art, and you know how to push through your limits.

On the other hand, positions like the guard might seem unnatural to you. After all, as wrestler, you’re never on your back, and you certainly don’t want your shoulders on the ground.

In this video, second-degree BJJ black belt and wrestler Nick “Chewy” Albin goes over some of the problems that he had transitioning from wrestling into Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
