This Is Why BJJ Academies Need A Successful Methodology

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is on the rise! If you’ve been training for a while, you’ve surely noticed how there are more and more people enrolling into BJJ academies and how there is a growth in the number of academies themselves. This is fantastic, because this growth isn’t slowing down – and our martial art is going to become more popular with each passing day.
However, there needs to be development not just in BJJ itself; but also in regards to how the classes are taught. More specifically, BJJ instructors need to incorporate methodologies in how they teach. Here’s why.

BJJ ACADEMIES: ADOPT A METHODOLOGY IN TEACHING CLASSES

What’s perhaps the most difficult thing to do in Jiu-Jitsu? Go ahead, take a guess… No, it’s not a particular technique. And no, it’s not a concept. Rather, it’s learning and remembering all these techniques and concepts – and then connecting them together.
There’s just so many different things to remember and connect in BJJ that there’s absolutely no way that students will be able to learn them when they’re taught randomly. And that’s precisely why BJJ academies need to incorporate a methodology in their classes!

If you’re an instructor and you want your students to improve better, which means that there will be more people training with you as time flies (and more of them sticking with you), then start thinking about methodology. It’s a surefire way to success.
