The guys over at Big Guy BJJ have released another takedown video. This one details the Russian Twist Takedown. It’s a gi throw, that I personally have found lots of success with in competition and randori.
As emphasized in the video, the key to getting it to work is to turn your hips a full 360 degrees before ever hitting the mat. The turn of the hips has to happen on the way down. If it happens after your back has touched the mat, you’ve already lost the throw. Check it out, and tell us what you think!
