Romulo Barral was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil and like every young individual there, he had loved all types of martial arts films. He was so interested in the sport that he had enlisted in the Tae Kwon Do academy when he was still 8 years old. He continued his studies of Korean martial arts in the meantime, allowing him to achieve his black belt, where he stopped training at the age of 19. It was this early love for the sport that allowed him to flourish in such a way.
Rominho, which became his name, had first started training in Jiu Jitsu when he was still very young. At the age of 15, he studied the sport with the Gracie Barra BH and his first coach there was was known as Draculino for his power and ferocity. His true intentions were that he would learn enough of the sport in order to begin fighting with mixed martial arts. During this time, he was invited to fight at a major event and he did the best that he could there, which was enough to gain him quite a bit of recognition.
He was always a strong believer in the various benefits that came with the gi game for the submission wrestling aspects, and he had never stopped his training, even when he was preparing for these events. He was awarded his black belt by the teacher later on after he had proved his worth. His prowess has attracted a wide amount of attention and allowed him to enjoy numerous victories all over the world, where he began to take part in major events. Romulo Barral always encourages all people to follow their dreams and do their best in the sport.
