The 20th and 21st of July will be forever be remembered by humankind as the day man walked the moon. However, more importantly, it also marks the birthday of the editor here at GRACIEMAG.com. For Jiu-Jitsu practitioners living in Rio de Janeiro, though, the date will be even more marked for there being yet another Rickson Gracie seminar in the city.
Known to be a living encyclopedia of Jiu-Jitsu, Rickson will teach a seminar in the main hall (sala nobre) of Flamengo Football Club in the Gavea borough of the city next Tuesday and Wednesday, on the 20th and 21st.
The novelty this time around is that the seminar will be conducted in English, as it is meant for the foreigners in the city for the Rio Open and International Masters and Seniors championships to take place in the Tijuca Tennis Club the following weekend.
Of course, Brazilians who can hold their own in English are welcome to participate. Places are limited, and sign-ups can be performed at the Botequim Informal restaurant in Copacabana. The address is Domingos Ferreira 215, A, in Copacabana.
