Rafael Lovato Jr. successfully defended his light heavyweight title. In a ten-minute battle, the world champion defeated Roberto “Cyborg” Abreu at Fight to Win Pro 7. The event took place at the National Western Events Complex in Denver, Colorado, on July 15. In a ten-minute, submission-only no-gi match, Lovato imposed his game, trying to apply an omoplata and working on the X-guard to retain the belt in a judges’ decision. It was the first time they clashed in a no-gi match.
