‘Kickboxer: Vengeance’ Is Chock-Full Of BJJ and MMA Talent (Trailer)

Kickboxer: Vengeance is a remake of 1989’s Kickboxer, starring Jean-Claude Van Damme.

The movie will reprise the original film’s lead character, Kurt Sloane, who will be played by Canadian stuntman and BJJ practitioner, Alain Moussi.  Van Damme fans will be happy to know, though, that the 55-year-old actor will also be playing a starring role in the film as Sloane’s mentor, Master Durand.

Kickboxer: Vengeance will feature an ensemble of BJJ and MMA talent including professional wrestler and Cesar Gracie purple belt, Dave Bautista, who will be playing the lead antagonist, Tong Po.  Also appearing in the film will be George St. Pierre, Cain Velasquez, and Fabricio Werdum, all of whom hold BJJ black belts and are former UFC champions.

Former mixed martial artist, Gina Carano will also star in the film as Marcia.
