Nicholas Meregali has secured a dominant submission victory over Kaynan Duarte on the August 10th Who’s Number One (WNO) main event card.
There was around five minutes remaining on the timer when Meregali went for a takedown and took Duarte to the ground.
He passed his guard, established Mount…
And got a quick Arm Triangle Choke finish:

In a separate post‘s comment section, John Danaher applauded Meregali’s performance:
I believe that was the best performance of your career so far Nicholas – and against one of the best of all time.
Well done! We are extremely proud of you!
However, it also seems that Meregali will not continue competing in no-gi for the time being…
And that he will set his eyes on gi competition.
Here is what he had to say prior to the match against Duarte:
After this match, I’m going to stop fighting No Gi until May or June next year and I’m only pursuing my passion, Gi Jiu Jitsu.
My life goal is to become the Greatest GI Fighter of All Time, and I know I’m ready to take that title.
