On July 5th, Neiman Gracie,25, defeated Dustin Holyko at WSOF 11 in Florida with a rear naked choke at 2:21 of Round 2. This is the second fight of Gracie’s MMA career. In September 2013, the Jiu-Jitsu black belt finished Darren Costa via armbar at WSOF.
Before his last MMA fight, Neiman talked to GRACIEMAG about his training and commented how is fighting in new weight division at 79kg.
“The workouts were great. Counted with the help of all Team Renzo Gracie, my cousins and my uncle Renzo helped me a lot. I trained Muay Thai, but without forgetting the Jiu-Jitsu”, said Neiman, who added:” My fight will happen at a different weight, the last fight was at middleweight. This will now be up to 79kg. I’m feeling good in this new weight class. I had the help of Dr. Carlon Colker, who is a professional. The idea in the future is going down to welterweight, 77kg, “he said.
Neiman did not know much about his opponent, who was amended five times, but said that is not a problem.
“My opponent was changed more than five times because of injuries. I do not know much about my opponent, I could not find a video, but I do not care about that. I think I have to focus on me and what I can do well. Of course we always expect to finish, but I will not be sad with a knockout victory too [laughs]. “
