Cauliflower ears are considered as battle scars by many MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athletes… And most “wear” them with pride.
However, for some – such as Michael Bisping – being constantly asked about cauliflower ears is an undesirable thing.
As he explained in a “Believe You Me” podcast episode, Bisping often gets asked about his cauliflower ears by women. And he’s, kind of, had enough of having to explain what’s the reason why his ears are “like that”:
“What happened to your ears? Why are they like that?”
And I say: “Well… When I was a baby, there was a house fire and kind of the side of my face got all melted…”
They go: “Oh my god, are you serious? That’s awful.”No I’m not fuc*ing serious, the fu*k are you talking about? Fu*k off. Mind your own business.
Anthony Smith agreed with him that this sort of a question can be really annoying:
Yeah, girls. A lot of times just randomly…
You’d be in a fu*king bar by yourself, and they’ll be like: “Hey!” And you’re, like: “Hi!”
[And they ask:] “What’s wrong with your ears?”
