Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently competed in his first ever Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament and won a gold medal.
Joe Rogan talked about it recently on his podcast, saying that Zuck trains regularly at one of the top BJJ academy in San Francisco, Guerilla Jiu-Jitsu under BJJ and Judo black belt Dave Camarillo.
Joe said:
“So I heard that Mark Zuckerberg entered a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament recently and ended up winning the whole thing in his belt and weight division. He wore a C*vid mask and cap so that nobdoy would recognize him.”
“Now this dude is one of the richest guys in the world, he runs Facebook, but apparently he’s also a legit jiu-jitsu practitioner. I mean winning a tournament is no joke, that means you had to submit or get more points than multiple other skilled grapplers over the course of a day.”
“It turns out Mark has been training jiu-jitsu for years now at one of the top academies in San Francisco. He goes pretty regularly from what I’m told, at least a couple times a week. And obviously he’s progressing and getting better if he’s winning tournaments now against other black belts his size.”
