Is It Possible to Repeatedly Submit Everyone with The Same Move in Jiu Jitsu?

Imagine arriving at your training session and successfully submitting every person in your gym using the same technique again and again. It may seem like a dream, doesn’t it? After all, it’s already challenging enough to submit everyone, let alone using the same technique.
Whether you’re a colored belt or a black belt, you have likely never accomplished this feat. Firstly, because you have never attempted it, and secondly, if you were to repeatedly try using the same technique, people would become aware and defend themselves, making it difficult for you to finish them off.
Let’s suppose you are an expert in armbars, which is one of the most commonly used techniques in Jiu Jitsu. Do you think that by attempting to apply armbars in every position against various opponents, you would eventually be able to successfully execute the technique on everyone, regardless of their belt color, weight, or strength?

It may seem like a dream, magic, or something impossible to achieve. However, for five-time World Champion Bernardo Faria, submitting EVERYONE in the academy with the same technique has happened on a few occasions.
Watch the video below and be amazed by this incredible accomplishment!

The video above was recorded at Alliance Saratoga at the end of a seminar conducted by Bernardo Faria. In front of the audience, Bernardo showcased the technique he had taught the students and then proceeded to roll with them.
In the video, we can witness the effectiveness of Bernardo’s shoulder locks. Despite not being familiar with his training partners’ games, he consistently gained control and utilized his grip mastery to secure advantageous positions for executing shoulder locks.

Even though everyone was aware that Bernardo would attempt an omoplata, no one was able to defend against his powerful technique. This was due to Bernardo’s confidence in his grips and his ability to finish his opponents successfully.

Master the OMOPLATA–the submission that can be your new favorite position.

  • You might not look like Clark Gracie, but your omoplatas will be the best-looking part of your game.
  • SWEEP them when they’re defending the SUBMISSION and SUBMIT them when they’re defending the SWEEP.
