The Houston Open gathered a number of sport Jiu-Jitsu’s top competitors at the Clear Brook High School gymnasium, on March 6. Besides competing, refereeing and winning medals, Professor João Crus (www.joaocrusbjj.com) sent GRACIEMAG.com some pictures from the event that saw Bruno Bastos crowned absolute champion.
“I worked pretty much the whole day and didn’t have time to take pictures,” said Crus. “Right after refereeing I rushed to go compete, not a very good combination. You don’t fight well, but it was worthwhile for having helped. The championship was really good and there were lots of girls competing.”
