When modern life grants us with a busy schedule, stress may become a chronic health problem to a lot people. Although we all have fun at training, Jiu-Jitsu is an activity that requires a lot of energy and stamina. Thus, we should fuel our bodies with the best foods to achieve optimum health and performance on the mat.

Everybody, from white to black belt, can take advantage of this stress relieve recipe that will help you relax and focus for BJJ training. Drink it 30 minutes to an hour before practice, or especially during competition season, and together with a healthy diet this soothing juice can work miracles.

 

Stress Buster

Ingredients:

2 celery stalks

½ bulb fennel

2c. romaine lettuce

½ avocado

¼c. almonds

Instructions:

Using a power juicer, combine the celery, fennel and lettuce, and extract the juice. Then, pour the juice into a blender and add pieces of avocado and almonds. Blend it well and drink it fresh.
