Georges St-Pierre, who arguably ranks among the best ever UFC athletes, is seriously considering a comeback. In a recent interview, he explained how watching other fighters compete has given him the desire to get back in the octagon. On his previous outing in November 2013, he made a successful defense of his title at UFC 167, against Johny Hendricks.
“I’m training hard,”As you can see, I have some bumps and bruises. I didn’t get these from falling down stairs.”
In 2014, St-Pierre tore a muscle in the gym, maybe reducing the likelihood of a return to action. Nonetheless, the Canadian champion now appears to be completely healthy, and near to his fighting weight. Ever since his last bout, he has been outspoken about what he says is a big problem in MMA — namely the use of PEDs. St-Pierre strongly believes that technology should be eliminated from the sport. Like many, he wants to see fighters win due to their technique and talent, not because they had access to certain drugs.
