Garry Tonon Talks Dillon Danis: “He Is A Soap Opera Character”

Garry Tonon beat Dillon Danis in a grappling match back in 2017…
But will the rematch ever take place?

Tonon doesn’t seem to be too concerned about it. Moreover, he is actively looking for ways to “just ignore Danis’ existence”.
Here’s what he had to say in a recent MMA Fighting interview:

I do whatever I can nowadays to just ignore his existence. It’s kind of what he’s asking for.

No matter what I say to detriment to him, whatever negative I throw his way, we’re talking about this guy right now and giving him airtime, and that’s really the only airtime he can get, because he doesn’t do anything.
He’s not fighting, he’s not grappling, he’s not doing any of these things.

So, the only way he can get airtime for is people talking s*it about him, and whatever drama he himself finds ways to create.
That’s his career now realistically.

For Tonon, Danis is nothing more than an entertainer:

He used to be in sports, and now he is an entertainer.
He is a soap opera character on social media, and that’s who he is.

Clearly he enjoys it on some level and God bless.
