In a night of solid technical victories, Atos fighter Davi Ramos stood out in his victory over John Gunther with an airtight rear naked choke at UFC Fight Night 139. The tap came in just under two minutes of the first round, kicking off the evening in Denver.
A prelim matchup, the fight open with an early single leg by Ramos. Gunther briefly broke the choke that followed but Ramos stayed calm, maintaining position and locking it in again for an easy win. Here’s the finish in case you missed it:
Ramos later called out reigning champion Kabib Nurmagomedov, saying that he still has “a lot to improve” but that “all [Kabib] has is wrestling.” The Brazilian’s pro record now stands a 9-2-0.
