Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone submitted his way into record books last night at UFC Fight Night 139 in Denver. With his first-round armbar victory over brawler Mike Perry, Cerrone logged his 15th finish and 21st victory, both of which are new records for the MMA organization.
“I felt [his arm] before I went belly down,” Cerrone said in his post-fight interview. “The rest was just tearing the chicken wing off. I was taking it home with me.”
Here’s what he’s talking about:
Cowboy’s big moment came in front of a hometown audience in Colorado, a far cry from his previous local loss to Jorge Masvidal.
Cerrone shows no signs of slowing down, expressing interest post-fight in making a lightweight title run.
