According to the news report from 2018, Castillo was suspected of domestic battery and elder abuse:
Nicholas Jay Castillo has been on the run for nearly a month. On May 6, investigators say the 24-year-old forced his way into his ex-girlfriend’s home on Chandler St. near Magna Vista St. between Goleta and Santa Barbara.
He allegedly assaulted his former girlfriend and, in the process, assaulted a 76-year-old female housemate before leaving.
Another news report revealed the aftermath:
Both victims suffered multiple injuries during the attack.
Castillo fled from the home, and the attacks were not reported to the Sheriff’s Department until later in the day.
Apart from the abovementioned news report about incident, BJJEE has not been able to find additional reports on what happened with the allegations towards Castillo nor what the verdict was for his case.
Today, on his Instagram profile, Castillo states that he is an owner of a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school in Santa Barbara.
