Congratulations to my friend, team-mate, and former training partner Denis Kang who defeated dangerous striker Mark Weir at Pride Bushido last Sunday. The fight ended at 4:55 of the first round after Denis landed a devastating series of punches and knees.
Denis is now undefeated in 16 consequtive fights, and is 3 and 0 in Pride!
I really like Denis’s aggressive style, which seamlessly combines striking, wrestling and – of course – Brazilian jiu-jitsu. For me he epitomizes the modern MMA fighter; training and using different martial arts instead of being bound to any one discipline or any one range.
