It’s been reported that João Gomes began training Jiu-Jitsu when he used to play for Flamengo.
He is often asked by fans and critics whether or not being on the mats involves more risk of getting injured.
And Gomes’ response? Well, he takes care not to train with other athletes who are new to the sport – so that he avoids accidental strikes and injuries.
He is smart about his training regimen too:
Be careful not to give an excessive load of training so as not to conflict with the field.
These are relaxed workouts, a moment of leisure, but with responsibility.Everything is planned so that there is not the slightest risk of problems.
