Marcelo Araújo, it can be said, is Jiu-Jitsu’s prime minister.
Presided over by Carlos Gracie Jr, Siriema is the man at the helm of the expansive structure of the CBJJ and IBJJF championships.
In the lead-up to the 15th Jiu-Jitsu World Championship, set for June 3 and 6 in Long Beach, California, Siriema took a few minutes out of his busy schedule to speak exclusively with the GRACIEMAG at the Worlds Blog.
During the conversation, Marcelo reminisced about the maiden installment, in 1996, the news for the 2010 event and the future not just of the competition, but of Jiu-Jitsu.
