At UFC São Paulo, held last Saturday, black-belt Antônio Carlos Jr. gave us another example of how sharp his jiu-jitsu is. Antônio, an ATT representative whose résumé includes a Pan championship in BJJ, taught a practical lesson as he submitted Jack Marshman.
Their fight didn’t get past round 1. After going to the ground and gaining the mount, Antônio postured and struck from the top, making Marshman turn and give him control of the back. Antônio passed his arm under Marshman’s chin and, with a textbook RNC in place, had to apply little pressure in order to cause his opponent to surrender.
