140lbs Purple Belt Subbed 300lbs Black Belt In Jiu-Jitsu Tournament
This recently happened at ADCC west coast trials competition in the US where BJJ blue belt and Mike Pixley competed a BJJ black belt from Gracie Barra. Pixley was able to immediately use a snap down and lock in a very tight Darce choke and forcing the tap in under a minute. He then casually walked it off as it meant nothing to him.
You can see he drilled that set up countless times…
The most dynamic up-and-coming brothers in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Kade and Tye Ruotolo teach the Darce choke series they have used to compete at the highest levels of grappling.
- The Ruotolo brothers have been lighting up the competition with the Darce choke, and they use it to regularly tap out fighters older, stronger, and more mature than they are.
- These submissions create great opportunities to finish fights for opponents of any size, by using these precise techniques.
