ADCC Denver Open: Rose Namajunas Wins Bronze In Absolute Division

Rose Namajunas is one of the best MMA athletes in the sport’s history.
And, even though she is a UFC star and former strawweight champion, she still takes the time to compete in grappling tournaments!

For example, she competed at the last weekend’s ADCC Denver Open – winning the bronze medal in the absolute division!
She lost to Helena Crevar, John Danaher’s teen protégé.

Namajunas, a BJJ brown belt, regularly competes at grappling tournaments.

For instance, she also competed at a Fury Pro Grappling event in December last year, where she lost to Gillian Robertson – Canadian UFC flyweight and BJJ black belt.

Robertson took the win via Rear Naked Choke after just 65 seconds into the match:

Unfortunately for MMA fans though, “Thug Rose” hasn’t competed in the UFC for quite a while, with some criticizing her as “the most inactive fighter in the top 10”.

Hopefully, Rose will be back to the octagon soon, bringing MMA fans the same excitement as she’s done for grappling fans this past weekend.
