As we explore the different types of martial arts out there, it’s important to understand the classifications and origins of arts in order to truly appreciate them. We hear the terms “Karate” and “Kung Fu” all the time, but they are really many different arts grouped together, each with their own signatures and principles.
Ju Jutsu (also often spelled Ju Jitsu) is similar in that it is not a single art, but a grouping of many different disciplines with different origins. In this video we’re going to take a look at the characteristics of Ju Jutsu, some different variations, and also some descendant arts.
