This arm bar hurts! If you have ever watched any of my matches you will know this is one of my favorite submissions to hit from top or bottom.
You can pop someone’s elbow quick so be sure to go slow when doing this submission in class.
I have probably finished with this submission 100 times in tournaments.
I also showed this to my student frank and he ended up submitting five people at a tournament with it. So it is a very high percentage submission.
The key to finishing this arm bar is turning that wrist as much as possible. That way it will put a lot more torque on the elbow and wrist when you extend your hips.
