Channel your inner Steven Seagal for this Wrist Lock – David Avellan

If you think wrist locks are cheap, this technique is NOT for you.

I have no qualms about doing a wrist lock. I like using any weapon at my disposal, and wrist locks can be a great way of finishing an opponent who is distracted or unaware.

This next technique is continuing off my last post on the Standing Arm Lock. If you were slow to apply the arm bar, or the opponent curled up their arm before you got a chance to apply the submission, the Standing Wrist Lock is your next attack.

Once again, this is another fast acting submission that needs to be applied quickly for maximum effect. Just be careful, as you can ruin someone’s day if you try to smash this move, so take it easy.

And if this technique is not up your alley – no worries. We have two more techniques that feed into this one if your opponent defends. But if you catch someone with this, you know they are going to be pissed as you can start shooting them with one liners from Seagal like, “I’m gonna take you to the bank. To the blood bank!.” LOL!
